Cyber Essentials Certification is a UK Government backed cyber security standard that shows an organisation has put key protections in place to help guard against common online threats. It demonstrates that a business has taken practical steps to make their systems more secure. These include things like:
Keeping software and services up to date
Using secure settings on computers and systems
Protecting against viruses and malware
Controlling who has access to information
Using firewalls to help block unauthorised access.
